Blown Glass Wine Glasses - Green with Blue Accents - Set of 6
Behind the wall of Fatimid Cairo, in an area called Gamaliya, the glassblowers of Cairo, Egypt create exquisite works of glass art. Each wine glass is individually mouth-blown of Pyrex glass, colored and has 18 kt. gold accents applied. Glass art has been found as early as the New Kingdom (1550 - 1070 BC) in ancient Egypt. Each glass is approximately 8 inches tall, 3 inches in diameter, and holds 7 ounces.
Due to the handmade nature of blown glass pieces, minor variations occur from piece to piece in size, coloring, and gold accents. Slight imperfections or characterizations are all part of the handcrafted beauty.
