This Alabaster Jar with Lid can stand alone as an art piece or can be used for storage of small items such as cotton balls, coins, candy, etc. The Ancient Egyptians have been carving beautiful handmade alabaster art for over 5000 years. The styles of alabaster carved in Egypt today are influenced by the delicate and beautiful carved stone of the past. This alabaster object was made in a small, family owned workshop in the suburbs of Cairo, Egypt. Color, translucency, and banding varies. Approximately 5" tall and 3.5" in diameter.
